Jessica and Damien were working up the corporate ladder in New York City in 2016 when they decided they wanted something different.
They knew they were entrepreneurs at heart and dreamed about starting a business together.
Before long, they were packing their bags and heading off on an adventure across the world to search for the perfect business idea.

The Inspiration
Jessica and Damien spent 14 months traveling throughout 25 countries, exploring various experiences.
During this time, they dissected each business model and had a lot of fun along the way.
On one rainy day in Poland, they came across a beer spa and were intrigued within seconds.
During their beer-inspired spa experience, they could see many things they were passionate about – wellness, beer, and fun.
This led them on more adventures of exploring worldwide spa and bathing culture, then creating their own idea of how they could uplevel wellness in the United States.
Creating the Oakwell Cosmetics Concept
When Jessica and Damien returned to the States, they wanted to move somewhere with a wellness-oriented culture and beer scene. This led them to Denver to open Oakwell Beer Spa (previously known as The Beer Spa).
They spent the next two years pitching banks, touring retail spaces, working side hustles, and making their spa dreams a reality.
Oakwell Beer Spa opened in February 2021 as a relaxing and innovative space where guests can enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience.
Oakwell Beer Spa is all about rejuvenation, fun, and inclusivity. And Jessica and Damien want everyone to enjoy this kind of experience at home, too – no matter where you live.
That’s where Oakwell Cosmetics comes in.
This retail line of natural, beer-infused cosmetic products and other unique items is designed to help you create a therapeutic at-home spa day. Because everyone deserves self-care to be easily accessible.
